Seaweeds

Hawaii's limu (seaweed) is an important food staple for hundreds of species on the islands. The Hawaiian green sea turtles feed almost entirely on limu. Humans have also enjoyed limu for hundreds of years and it continues to be popular today. I was able to attend a limu study in Hilo and learned about the amazing varieties that can be found along the shoreline.
